The new work of Mustafa Ateş titled Ibn ‘Ābidīn: An Ottoman Jurist was published in the Academic Work Series within the scope of ISAM’s Late Classical Period Project. The book deals with the procedures of fatwa Ibn Abidin, as a Hanafi Ottoman jurist, within the framework of his annotation called Radd al-mukhtar, which is one of his most important works. |

| A NEW BOOK from the Early Classical Period Project! |
The book titled Erken Dönem Tefsir Geleneğinde Nakil Anlayışı (The concept of transmission in early tafsir tradition), which was written by Assist. Prof. Ömer Dinç, was published as part of the ISAM Early Classical Period Project under the Academic Works Series. Considering all the available information, the book deals with the thesis that tafsir represents the first stage of Islamic studies, and that tafsir is an "activity of understanding the Qur'an" which began with the revelation process and was determined by the revelation itself. |

A new book edited by Assoc. Prof. Nail Okuyucu was published by ISAM Publications under the title İslam İlim Geleneğinde Nevevî (Nawawī in the Islamic Scholarly Tradition) within the scope of Late Classical Period Project. The book aims to explore Nawawī’s life and scholarly personality, the environment that he lived in, his works, his thoughts and influences, and also to introduce literature by articles on aforementioned aspects of his life. |

| 93th volume of our periodical Contents of Recently Arrived Journals, which includes the ‘Contents’ of the periodicals in foreign languages that ISAM continuously follows and which is published triannually, has come out. All of the volumes of this periodical, the first volume of which was published in 1994, are available in PDF format. |
