Scholars were given TÜBA-GEBİP and TÜBA-TESEP awards. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at the Republic of Türkiye Presidential Complex. 

Assoc. Prof. M. Taha Boyalık, a member of the Faculty of Theology at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, was awarded the 2022 "Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Social Sciences Fuat Sezgin Special Award" for his work titled el-Keşşâf Literatürü: Zemahşerî’nin Tefsir Klasiğinin Etki Tarihi (al-Kashshāf Literature: The History of the Influence of al-Zamakhsharī’s Classical Qur’anic Exegesis). The book was published by ISAM in 2019, as part of ISAM's Late Classical Period Project.

Within the scope of TESEP, which aims to promote the production of quality Turkish academic works in universities, TÜBA awarded one work in social sciences and natural and engineering sciences in 2022. The Academy awarded a total of seven awards, one as "Fuat Sezgin Special Award", one in the field of social sciences, "Halil İnalcık Special Award" for two works, "Mehmet Genç Special Award" for one work, and "Significant Value Work (Mention) Award" for one work. The number of works awarded by TÜBA within the scope of TESEP so far, increased to 226. 

 In 2018, Dr. Kenan Yıldız was awarded the TÜBA-TESEP Award and TDV Encyclopedia of Islam was awarded TÜBA Fuat Sezgin Award in 2019.
